Placements24 in Richards Bay is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to contribute to renewable energy projects. You will design, develop, and oversee electrical aspects for solar, wind, and other clean energy installations, coordinating with project teams and site staff.

This hybrid role allows remote design work with on-site visits for execution and assessments. The ideal candidate has a strong electrical engineering background, 7+ years in renewables or power systems, and proficiency in

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Minimum 7 years in electrical engineering with renewable energy or power systems.
• Experience with solar PV design, components selection, and performance analysis.
• Proficiency in power system simulation software (PVSyst, DIgSILENT PowerFactory).
• Knowledge of grid interconnection standards and renewable energy technologies.
• Strong project management and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Design and optimize electrical systems for solar PV and wind energy projects, including interconnection studies.
• Develop detailed engineering designs, specifications, and single-line diagrams for renewable energy plants.
• Perform power system studies, including load flow, short-circuit, and protection coordination analysis.
• Manage electrical aspects of project execution, from procurement to commissioning.
• Ensure compliance with grid codes, regulatory requirements, and safety standards.
• Collaborate with site teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to achieve project milestones.
