You will manage contractor coordination, site supervision, and stakeholder communication, mentor junior engineers, and drive safe, compliant installations across power distribution, automation, and control systems.

About the Role Our client, a leader in industrial infrastructure development, is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer with strong Project Management capabilities for their East London office. This role is central to overseeing the electrical aspects of large-scale industrial projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for detailed electrical design, contractor management, site supervision, and stakeholder communication. The ideal candidate possesses a deep technical understanding of electrical systems used in industrial settings, combined with proven project leadership skills. You will liaunt with clients, vendors, and internal engineering teams to ensure seamless project execution. This position requires a hands‑on approach and the ability to manage complex technical challenges. Our East London office serves as a key operational base, and this role demands your consistent presence to effectively lead and manage project activities. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical engineering aspects of industrial projects from inception through to completion.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively, ensuring successful delivery.
• Oversee the design and development of electrical systems, including power distribution, control systems, and instrumentation.
• Coordinate with and manage external electrical contractors and vendors.
• Conduct site inspections and provide technical guidance during construction and commissioning phases.
• Ensure all electrical installations comply with relevant safety standards, codes, and regulations.
• Prepare and review project documentation, including specifications, reports, and progress updates.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively addressing potential issues.
• Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure clear communication and alignment.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in electrical engineering, with at least 4 years in a project management or lead engineering role for industrial projects.
• Proven experience in managing complex electrical infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems, including power distribution, automation, and control.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read and interpret complex electrical drawings and specifications.
• Experience in site supervision and managing construction activities.
• Proficiency with relevant electrical design and project management software.
• Must be based in or willing to relocate to East London and available for full-time, office-based work.
