Key Responsibilities

• Perform advanced power flow , short-circuit, stability, and protection studies for high-voltage transmission and distribution systems.
• Design and specify major electrical equipment, including transformers, circuit breakers, switchgear, and generators.
• Develop protection and control schemes to ensure the safe and reliable operation of power systems.
• Conduct feasibility studies and provide technical input for new power generation and infrastructure projects.
• Review designs and specifications prepared by other engineers and consultants, ensuring quality and compliance.
• Collaborate with project managers, clients, and regulatory bodies in a remote capacity, providing expert technical guidance and support.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Power Systems.
• Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in power systems engineering.
• Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng) registration with ECSA is highly desirable.
• Expert proficiency with power system analysis software such as PSS/E, ETAP, or PowerWorld.
• In-depth knowledge of transmission and distribution network design, operation, and protection.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective remote collaboration.
