Job summary

AECOM is seeking a qualified Electrical Engineer to join our Cape Town office. You will contribute to LV/MV electrical systems, prepare single line diagrams, load lists and protection schemes, and support BIM/CAD teams to ensure design quality and on-time delivery.

You will work under supervision on small/medium projects, coordinating with multidisciplinary engineers and applying BIM with Revit to produce high-quality outputs. 4+ years of experience and ECSA candidate status preferred.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience after obtaining qualification.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSc/B Eng).
• Registered as a Candidate Engineer with ECSA.

Responsibilities

• Performs specific portions of a broader assignment under supervision.
• Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using defined procedures.
• Works on detailed or routine engineering tasks and calculations.
• Proposes approaches to solve new problems encountered.
• Identifies discrepancies in results and seeks solutions.
• Provides guidance to entry-level engineers.
• Ensures work adheres to budget and schedule with moderate supervision.
