Key Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical engineering aspects of grid integration projects for renewable energy facilities.
• Develop and implement strategies for connecting renewable energy sources to the national grid, ensuring compliance with grid codes and standards.
• Perform detailed power system studies, including load flow, short circuit, transient stability, and harmonic analysis.
• Collaborate with utility companies, regulatory bodies, and internal project teams to facilitate grid connection approvals.
• Design and specify electrical infrastructure required for grid interconnection, such as substations, switchgear, and protection systems.
• Analyze the impact of renewable energy integration on grid stability and reliability.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance on power system protection and control schemes.
• Evaluate and select appropriate electrical equipment for grid connection applications.
• Prepare comprehensive technical reports, proposals, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
• Stay abreast of evolving grid integration technologies, industry trends, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, specializing in Power Systems.
• A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in electrical engineering, with a strong focus on grid connection and renewable energy integration.
• In-depth knowledge of grid codes, interconnection standards, and utility requirements.
• Proficiency in power system analysis software (e.g., PSS/E, ETAP, DIgSILENT PowerFactory).
• Experience with power system protection, control, and automation.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively leading discussions with diverse technical and non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex technical projects in a remote setting.
• Professional Engineer (PE) or Chartered Engineer (CEng) designation is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with energy storage systems and their integration is a plus.
