Job summary

WSP in Africa seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to provide consulting services across MV & LV electrical design, earthing, power and lighting, and related disciplines. You will work with a multi-disciplinary team on projects through all life cycle stages, ensuring quality designs and client-focused delivery.

The role requires a BSc Eng. or B.Tech in Electrical Engineering and strong knowledge of building services standards. Travel across RSA and Africa is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• BSc Eng. or B.Tech in Electrical Engineering required.
• Professional registration with ECSA advantageous.
• SAQCC registration advantageous.
• 7+ years of consulting engineering experience in Building Services or industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare designs, calculations, budgets, tender specs and manage project financials.
• Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams across project life cycle.
• Deliver projects from inception to close-out with minimal input from management.
• Manage client relationships and ensure on-time delivery.
• Assist with client/consultant fee/contract negotiations and handle internal project finances.
