Job summary

WSP in Cape Town is seeking a seasoned Electrical Engineering consultant to deliver MV/LV design, earthing, power, lighting, and related systems across projects. The role involves creating designs, tender specs, budgets, and managing projects through all life-cycle stages.

You will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team, ensure on-time delivery, and focus on client care while driving internal efficiencies and project finance controls.

Qualifications

• Minimum BSc Eng. or B. Tech in Electrical Engineering.
• Professional Registration with ECSA advantageous
• At least 7 years consulting engineering experience within Building Services/industrial environment
• SAQCC Registration highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate electrical designs, calculations, and tender specs.
• Manage projects from inception to close-out with minimal input from seniors.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and coordinate design.
• Ensure client care and on-time delivery; generate repeat business.
• Set up fee contracts and manage professional fees.
• Monitor project finances, WIP, and invoicing.
• Model SHEQ standards and Zero Harm culture.
