Job summary

Weskus Personeel is seeking a Senior Construction Manager to lead and deliver large-scale electrical infrastructure projects in the Western Cape on a project-based basis (minimum 12 months). This role targets an experienced Electrical Engineer or Technician with proven renewable energy, wind farm and/or substation construction expertise.

You will manage projects from inception to completion, coordinate teams and resources, monitor budgets, ensure safety and quality standards, and report to

Qualifications

• BTech or National Diploma in Electrical Engineering is required.
• SACPCMP registration is required.
• Strong experience in construction/project management for large electrical/renewable energy projects.
• Experience in wind farm, renewable energy or substation construction is essential.
• Excellent leadership, planning and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel as per project needs.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from inception through to completion.
• Lead and coordinate project teams, contractors and resources.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and to specification.
• Manage project costing, planning, procurement and expenditure.
• Monitor budgets and project progress.
• Review and approve project documentation.
• Liaise with clients and internal departments.
• Provide technical input to resolve issues.
• Ensure Health & Safety and Quality Control standards.
• Manage materials, resources and subcontractors to maximise value.
• Prepare progress and status reports for senior management.
