Job summary

West Coast Personnel seeks a senior Construction Manager – Electrical / Renewable Energy to lead large-scale electrical infrastructure projects in the Western Cape. The role is hands-on and focused on wind farm, renewable energy and/or substation construction, guiding projects from inception to completion.

Qualifications

• BTech or National Diploma in Electrical Engineering is required.
• SACPCMP registration is required.
• Strong construction/project management experience.
• Wind farm, renewable energy and/or substation construction experience essential.
• Strong leadership, planning and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational ability.
• Able to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from inception through to completion.
• Lead and coordinate project teams, contractors and resources.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and to specification.
• Manage project costing, planning, procurement and expenditure.
• Monitor budgets and project progress.
• Review and approve project documentation.
• Liaise directly with clients and internal departments.
• Provide technical/engineering input to resolve project issues.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and Quality Control standards.
• Manage materials, resources and subcontractors to achieve best project value.
• Prepare progress and status reports for senior management.
