Job summary

West Coast Personnel is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead electrical engineering projects across wind farm and renewable energy sectors in the Wes-Kaap region. You will drive inception-to-completion, coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, manage budgets, procurements and client liaison.

Candidate must hold a BTech or National Diploma in Electrical Engineering with SACPCMP registration and a proven track record in construction/project management, especially in wind/renewable energy or

Qualifications

• BTech or National Diploma in Electrical Engineering is required.
• SACPCMP registration is required.
• Strong construction/project management experience.
• Wind farm/renewable energy and/or substation construction experience is essential.
• Strong leadership, planning and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational ability.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Willingness to travel according to project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from inception through to completion.
• Lead and coordinate project teams, contractors and resources.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and to specification.
• Manage project costing, planning, procurement and expenditure.
• Monitor budgets and project progress.
• Review and approve project documentation.
• Liaise directly with clients and internal departments.
• Provide technical/engineering input to resolve project issues.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and Quality Control standards.
• Manage materials, resources and subcontractors to achieve best project value.
• Prepare progress and status reports for senior management.
