Job summary

Network Finance is seeking a Senior Electrical, Control & Instrumentation (ECI) Engineer to lead engineering activities on pyrometallurgical and minerals processing projects. You will own electrical, control and instrumentation designs from concept to commissioning, coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams and clients.

The role requires 5–8+ years in ECI within heavy industry, with proficiency in PLC/SCADA/DCS, instrumentation and electrical distribution.

Qualifications

• BEng/BSc/BTech in Electrical, Electronic, Control or Instrumentation Engineering.
• Professional registration with ECSA or eligibility would be advantageous.
• 5–8+ years of relevant ECI engineering experience.
• Strong experience in mining, minerals processing, pyrometallurgy, metallurgy or heavy industrial environments.
• Proven experience delivering projects through the EPC/EPCM lifecycle.
• Knowledge of electrical power distribution, industrial automation and process instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead ECI engineering activities across pyrometallurgical and minerals processing projects.
• Develop and review electrical, control and instrumentation designs from concept through detailed engineering.
• Develop and review control philosophies, functional specifications and automation strategies.
• Design and specify electrical distribution systems, MCCs, control panels and remote I/O systems.
• Develop instrumentation specifications, datasheets, loop diagrams and termination schedules.
• Provide ECI input to P&IDs, equipment specs and design reviews.
• Design and integrate PLC, SCADA and DCS control systems.
• Develop and review control system architectures and networks.
• Support FATs, SATs, commissioning and start-up activities.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
