Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Remote Early Childhood Educator & Virtual Support specialist to deliver engaging virtual lessons and provide individualized support to young learners across South Africa.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in ECE, at least 4 years of classroom experience, and strong online teaching skills using Zoom/Google Meet. You will collaborate with parents and maintain records while ensuring a safe, interactive online learning environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years teaching young children in an early childhood setting.
• Proven experience with online teaching and virtual support.
• Strong understanding of child development principles and effective ECE strategies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication for online delivery.
• Proficiency with video conferencing tools (e.g., Zoom, Google Meet) and other digital learning platforms.
• Strong organizational skills for a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, interactive, and age-appropriate virtual lessons to young children.
• Provide one-on-one and small group virtual support to children based on individual learning needs.
• Develop and adapt lesson plans and activities for an online learning environment.
• Utilize various digital tools and platforms to create an engaging and stimulating virtual classroom.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding progress and provide guidance at home.
• Monitor children's participation and engagement in virtual activities.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
• Collaborate with the broader team to share best practices and improve virtual learning strategies.
• Ensure a safe and positive online learning experience for all children.
• Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in remote early childhood education.
