Job summary

AGC Mining Recruitment Pty Ltd is seeking a Superintendent Earth Moving Equipment for a Northern Cape mining operation. The role focuses on ensuring equipment availability, reliability, and safety for earth moving, auxiliary and drilling assets, with strong leadership and SHERQ knowledge.

You will lead maintenance activities, manage contractors, monitor budgets, and drive continuous improvement to meet production targets while building a high-performance team.

Qualifications

• Supervisory certificate / ARM / equivalent (NQF Level 4 150 credits).
• Planned Maintenance Certificate (NQF Level 5).
• Minimum of 5 years operational experience in a Mining or Heavy Industry maintenance environment in plant and fleet as a qualified artisan.
• Minimum of 3 years experience as a Supervisor / Team / Project leader in a Mining or Heavy Industry maintenance environment in plant and fleet.

Responsibilities

• Ensure equipment availability and reliability for earth moving, auxiliary, and drilling equipment to support production targets.
• Manage maintenance activities to optimize performance, minimize downtime, and ensure safe operation.
• Oversee contractor management to ensure quality service and safety compliance.
• Monitor and control budget and costs for equipment maintenance and operations.
• Lead and coach people to achieve high performance and team objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement to enhance operational efficiency, equipment longevity, and safety outcomes.
• Ensure SHERQ compliance by enforcing policies and best practices.
