Placements24 is seeking a Lead Early Years Practitioner & Curriculum Developer to oversee an acclaimed childcare facility in Welkom, Free State. You will guide a team of educators, shape a play-based curriculum, and ensure high standards of care and education.

The role requires leadership experience in early years settings, strong curriculum design skills, and excellent communication to engage staff and families in a nurturing and professional environment.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in early years settings.
• Experience designing and implementing play-based curricula.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of child development principles and assessment tools.
• Familiarity with childcare regulations and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of early years educators.
• Develop and review a high-quality, developmentally appropriate curriculum.
• Oversee daily operations and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Observe and assess children's progress and provide feedback to staff and parents.
• Design engaging activities catering to diverse learning styles.
• Promote a safe, healthy, and stimulating environment for children.
• Engage with parents to foster involvement and communication.
• Manage resources including staffing and budgets in Welkom, Free State.
