Job summary

Boardroom Appointments is seeking an experienced Electrical and Instrumentation Planner for a 12-month fixed-term contract based in Kathu, Northern Cape. The role focuses on developing, maintaining and monitoring detailed E&I schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Project, ensuring safety and timelines in mining or industrial settings.

The ideal candidate has strong CPM knowledge, 6–10 years of planning experience and the ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams on site.

Qualifications

6-10 years of relevant project planning and scheduling experience.
Proven experience planning and scheduling Electrical and Instrumentation activities.
Mining, heavy industrial, engineering or construction project environments preferred.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain detailed E&I project schedules using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
Prepare baseline schedules, work programmes, milestone plans and long-term schedules.
Establish activity sequences, durations, dependencies and critical paths.
Coordinate planning for electrical installations, instrumentation systems and associated equipment.
Monitor progress and identify delays, risks and bottlenecks; update schedules accordingly.
Produce progress reports and schedule performance updates for stakeholders.
Support with delay analysis, schedule impact assessments and recovery scheduling.
