Job summary

ShopriteX seeks a Lead Functional Analyst to drive e‑commerce platform configuration and translate business requirements into functional designs. You will collaborate with product owners, UX/UI designers, and engineers to deliver omnichannel digital solutions.

You will oversee testing, training, implementation, and support, mentor Analysts, and lead complex gap analyses. A strong background in SAP Commerce, SQL basics, and 5+ years in a senior functional role is ideal.

Qualifications

• 3-year IT qualification is essential.
• SAP Commerce or equivalent experience is essential.
• Business Analyst / Functional Analyst course or similar is essential.
• MS SQL fundamentals certification is desirable.
• MS SQL querying data with Transact Certification is desirable.
• +5 years’ experience in a Senior Functional Analyst or similar role is essential.
• Experience in functional analysis, configuration, and user testing is essential.
• Experience in software testing is essential.
• IT Support and Operations knowledge is essential.
• Working knowledge of operating systems and Internet technologies is essential.
• Experience in Retail or Financial Services industry is essential.
• Vendor management is essential.
• Knowledge of Project Management principles is essential.

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into fit-for-purpose functional and technical designs.
• Define and support testing, training, implementation, and support procedures.
• Lead and coordinate development and configuration initiatives.
• Prioritise and plan projects with Team Leads.
• Act as technical lead for the Functional Analyst team.
• Ensure delivery of work and commitments, including sprint-based delivery.
• Lead gap analyses and drive process improvements.
• Oversee complex system integration activities.
• Provide input into training, testing, and post‑implementation support processes.
• Develop and manage post-implementation go-live environments.
• Mentor teams on QA standards and perform code reviews.
• Drive delivery in line with the SDLC and manage risks and dependencies.
