Job summary

ATS Client in Pretoria is seeking a skilled Web Systems Analyst to lead the design, development, testing and maintenance of E‑Business systems in an open‑source environment.

You will drive feasibility assessments, manage SDLC, document all processes and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver integrated E‑Commerce solutions. Strong PHP/MySQL experience and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• BSc Computer Science or related qualification.
• 7-9 years web programming experience, 5 years PHP.
• Knowledge of Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP.
• Familiarity with Consumer Protection Act and Electronic Communications & Transactions Act.
• Web application development and object oriented programming.
• Project management and leadership skills.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.
• Analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, testing, implementation and maintenance of all E-Business systems in an open source stack.
• Conduct feasibility studies, prioritisation and capacity planning for web projects and manage SDLC end‑to‑end.
• Document processes thoroughly within the E-Business environment.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to define, document and deliver integrated E‑Commerce applications.
• Upgrade infrastructure and align applications with new technology.
• Be responsible for online security and risk management.
• Enhance user experience (UX) of E‑Commerce systems.
• Provide hands‑on programming support as contingency for Senior Web Developer.
• Enhance site SEO and assist with online marketing of the website.
