About the Role

Our client is looking for a strategic and experienced Senior Distribution Manager to lead their distribution operations in East London . This key role involves overseeing all aspects of the distribution center, including inventory management, order fulfillment, transportation coordination, and team leadership, to ensure maximum efficiency and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative strategies to optimize workflows, reduce costs, and maintain high standards of operational performance and safety. Key Responsibilities

• Manage and direct all day-to-day operations of the distribution center, ensuring efficient workflow and resource allocation.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize inventory levels, order accuracy, and on-time delivery rates.
• Oversee the coordination of inbound and outbound transportation, working closely with carriers and logistics providers.
• Lead, train, and mentor a team of distribution center staff, fostering a culture of high performance and safety.
• Implement and enforce strict safety protocols, regulatory compliance, and quality control measures.
• Analyze distribution data and KPIs to identify trends, drive continuous improvement, and report on operational performance.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in distribution management or warehouse operations.
• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale distribution centers and diverse teams.
• Extensive knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory control, and transportation logistics.
• Strong leadership, strategic planning, and operational management skills.
