Job summary

PBT Group in Cape Town is seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join a collaborative technology team delivering enterprise-grade cloud solutions and modern software delivery practices.

This is a 12-month contract opportunity based in Cape Town, with a hybrid working model requiring 3 days per week in-office. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on AWS, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code and automation skills to design, implement and optimise secure, scalable cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Strong senior-level DevOps / Cloud Engineering experience.
• Extensive hands-on AWS experience.
• CI/CD experience using Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions.
• Terraform / Infrastructure as Code.
• Docker & Kubernetes; Linux scripting Bash/Python/PowerShell.
• AWS services including EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, ECS/EKS, IAM and CloudWatch.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, troubleshooting and production support.
• Strong understanding of DevSecOps, automation and cloud security.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
