Job summary

BVi Consulting Engineers Western Cape (Pty) Ltd seeks a Senior Professional Design Engineer to lead multi-disciplinary infrastructure and renewable energy projects from concept through construction. You will guide design teams, ensure technical excellence, and align solutions with client requirements in our Cape Town office.

The role demands strong technical leadership, design management, and stakeholder engagement, with a track record of delivering complex projects and mentoring staff.

Qualifications

• BEng or BSc in Civil Engineering and PrEng registration with ECSA.
• Minimum 10–15 years post-graduate experience in infrastructure, transportation, renewable energy, or civil projects.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary project teams and manage design delivery through construction.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and design management across projects.
• Oversee project and design delivery from concept to construction support.
• Manage stakeholders and clients, including engagement and communication.
• Mentor staff and support business development.
