Job summary

BVi Consulting Engineers Western Cape (Pty) Ltd is seeking a Structural Engineer for renewable energy projects in our Cape Town office. The role is permanent and requires strong civil/structural design capabilities with experience in wind farm and PV projects, plus ECSA registration eligibility.

Responsibilities include detailed design, documentation, site inspections, and liaising with stakeholders to ensure effective project delivery across wind and solar facilities.

Qualifications

• BEng/BSc in Civil Engineering is required.
• Eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer with ECSA.
• 4 years+ post-graduate engineering experience preferred.
• Sound knowledge of civil and structural engineering principles and construction practices.

Responsibilities

• Detailed design and implementation of civil infrastructure on renewable projects, focusing on reinforced concrete and structural steel.
• Authoring and review of structural design calculations, reports and drawings.
• Provide structural input from design through construction and completion, including site reviews and reporting.
