Placements24 seeks a Senior Delivery Fleet Operator to manage delivery operations in George, Western Cape. You will oversee a fleet, ensure safety, punctuality and efficiency, and drive customer satisfaction through proactive route planning and team leadership.

The role requires 5+ years in fleet operations, strong GPS/pod proficiency, and excellent communication skills. A company vehicle is provided, with growth opportunities within a leading logistics network.

Qualifications

• Must have valid SA driver’s license and pristine driving record.
• Minimum 5 years in professional driving, delivery, or fleet ops.
• Deep knowledge of George and surrounding Western Cape areas.
• Proficiency with GPS systems, navigation apps, and e-POD devices.
• Ability to physically load/unload goods and lift safely.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
• Reliability, punctuality, and work ethic are essential.
• Experience mentoring/supervising junior drivers is a plus.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Valid South African Driver’s License (Code 10 or higher) with a pristine driving record.


• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a professional driving, delivery, or fleet operations role.


• In-depth knowledge of the George and surrounding Western Cape geographical areas.


• Proficiency with GPS systems, navigation apps, and electronic proof of delivery devices.


• Ability to perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading goods.


• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.


• Excellent communication and customer service skills.


• Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.


• Experience in mentoring or supervising junior drivers is a plus.
