Job summary

Apex Group in Cape Town is seeking a Senior Administrator - Dealing & Settlements to perform daily and monthly tasks on the Dealing and Settlements desk.

You will handle cash and trading instructions, ensure timely execution, and support unit trusts and hedge funds subscriptions and redemptions.

The role requires a tertiary qualification and 3+ years in financial services, with strong attention to detail and calm under pressure.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification and 3+ years applicable experience, or 4 years operational experience.
• Excellent financial services process & product knowledge.
• Experience on Dealing and Settlements activities is compulsory.
• Good understanding of cash and trade instruction cycles.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily and monthly tasks of the Dealing and Settlements desk.
• Prepare and ensure accurate and timely execution and authorization of cash related transactions, expenses, third party transfers, and payments.
• For trading, prepare, capture and confirm trades and trade instructions.
• Ensure proper follow-up for confirmation of transactions, including unit trusts and hedge fund subscriptions/redemptions.
