Job summary

Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA) is seeking a Data Engineer to design, develop, maintain and optimise enterprise data pipelines for reporting, analytics and BI platforms. You will collaborate with data architects and analytics teams to ensure data quality and timely delivery across the organisation.

The role requires 6–8 years of data engineering or related experience, strong ETL/ELT, SQL and cloud skills, plus a proactive, collaborative mindset to enhance data platforms in a FMCG environment.

Qualifications

• 6-8 years’ experience in data engineering or database development roles.
• Experience with ETL/ELT tools, databases and cloud data platforms.
• Experience supporting analytics and reporting environments.
• FMCG or enterprise data environment experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Data Pipeline Development: Develop, manage and optimise scalable data pipelines and integration processes.
• Data Integration & Transformation: Ensure accurate and reliable extraction, transformation and loading of data across enterprise systems.
• Data Quality & Reliability: Support data quality, consistency and integrity through monitoring, validation and issue resolution activities.
• Platform Performance & Optimisation: Improve performance, scalability and efficiency of data processing and analytics environments.
• Automation & Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities for automation and optimisation across data engineering processes and workflows.
• Technical Support & Collaboration: Collaborate with analytics, business and technology teams to support data availability and business requirements.
