Job summary

Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA) is seeking a Data Engineer to design, develop, maintain and optimise enterprise data pipelines for reporting, analytics and BI platforms. You will collaborate with data architects and analytics teams to ensure data quality and timely delivery across the organisation.

The role requires 6–8 years of data engineering or related experience, strong ETL/ELT, SQL and cloud skills, plus a proactive, collaborative mindset to enhance data platforms in a FMCG environment.

Qualifications

Role Purpose

Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA) presents an exciting opportunity for a Data Engineer to join the Digital & Technology team at CCBA. The role will report to the relevant Data & Analytics leadership function. CCBA is the 8th largest Coca-Cola authorised bottler in the world by revenue, and the largest on the continent. It accounts for over 40% of all Coca-Cola ready-to-drink beverages sold in Africa by volume. The Data Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and optimizing enterprise data pipelines and data integration processes that enable reliable, accurate, and timely data delivery across reporting, analytics, and business intelligence platforms. The role is accountable for ensuring that data is effectively extracted, transformed, and loaded from multiple enterprise systems into scalable and secure data platforms that support business decision-making and operational excellence. The incumbent will work closely with data architects, analytics teams, business stakeholders, and technology partners to develop and support data engineering solutions that improve data accessibility, quality, consistency, and performance. The role is responsible for building and maintaining ETL/ELT processes, managing data integration workflows, supporting database and data warehouse environments, and ensuring the reliability and availability of enterprise data assets.
