Job summary

LexisNexis Intellectual Property Solutions is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the design, development, and operation of scalable data platforms, services and infrastructure powering critical business outcomes.

You will work with analysts, data scientists, and engineers to drive technical excellence, mentor teammates, and shape the data engineering function while leveraging AI-assisted development tools to deliver reliable, high-impact solutions.

Qualifications

• Deep proficiency in Python for building scalable data applications and pipelines.
• Strong SQL skills, with experience designing schemas and optimized queries.
• End-to-end ownership of data systems from design to deployment and maintenance.
• Experience mentoring engineers and leading technical initiatives.
• Comfort with AI-assisted development tools and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, build, and maintenance of data pipelines and backend services.
• Develop and maintain APIs and services (e.g. FastAPI) to expose data.
• Own architectural trade-offs for scalable, reliable data systems.
• Mentor engineers, perform code reviews, and raise technical standards.
• Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and other engineers.
