Amazon Data Services South Africa (Pty) Ltd seeks an experienced Amazon Critical Infrastructure Engineer to provide full life-cycle support for AWS Data Centers, from design inception to site improvements. You will be the go-to resource regionally, addressing complex problems and leading audits, with a mix of office and field work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• GCC - Factories certificate required.
• Experience with critical facilities, data centers, or mission-critical systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot RCA and document corrective actions for site/equipment failures.
• Support operations with ad-hoc training and procedure reviews.
• Lead conceptual design for data center upgrades to improve capacity and reliability.
• Coordinate with operations, design engineering, and safety teams to maintain standards.
