Placements24 is seeking a Lead Cybersecurity Architect to lead security architecture across IT and OT in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. You will define standards, roadmaps, and secure infrastructure, translating business needs into resilient designs.

Applicants should bring 10+ years in cybersecurity with 5+ in architecture, a master’s degree, strong leadership, knowledge of NIST/ISO27001, and experience with SIEM, SOAR, EDR. Certifications like CISSP-ISSAP or TOGAF are preferred.

Formación

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 5 years in an architectural role.
• Extensive experience designing and implementing complex security architectures for large enterprises.
• Deep knowledge of network security, application security, cloud security, and endpoint security.
• Expertise in security frameworks (e.g., NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001).
• Strong understanding of OT/ICS security principles is highly desirable.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with security technologies such as SIEM, SOAR, EDR, and cloud-native security tools.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP-ISSAP, SABSA, or TOGAF are preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, maintain, and evolve the overall cybersecurity architecture strategy and roadmap.
• Design and document secure network and system architectures, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and endpoint security solutions.
• Lead the evaluation and selection of security technologies and platforms.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to security engineering and operations teams.
• Define security standards, policies, and best practices for IT and OT environments.
• Conduct architectural reviews and risk assessments for new projects and systems.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand security needs and integrate them into architectural designs.
• Oversee the implementation of security solutions, ensuring adherence to architectural principles.
• Stay current with emerging cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies, and incorporate them into the architecture.
