Job summary

Level Up - Your Talent Partner is seeking a Senior Creditors Clerk to support the creditors team and provide reporting to the Financial Manager in Cape Town. You will review expenses, manage reconciliations, and liaise with suppliers and operations to ensure accurate accounting and timely reporting.

The role requires an accounting degree and 2–3 years in a similar position, with strong Excel skills and a detail-oriented, analytical mindset. Property experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Review expense capturing reports from creditor clerks and capture expenses when required.
• Prepare utility bill schedule and reconciliation.
• Communicate with City of Cape Town regarding council accounts/queries.
• Perform creditors reconciliation review.
• Review receipting schedule.
• Review bank reconciliations.
• Analyze supplier age and age analysis.
• Prepare accruals for review.
• Review inter-company loan accounts.
• Assist with queries during audits.
• Conduct expense vs recoveries analysis.
• Update and maintain the BB-BEE procurement schedule.
• Liaise with operations, procurement and suppliers.
• Perform other duties as reasonably required by management.

The role of the senior creditors clerk is to assist in providing oversight over the creditors team and provide reporting support to the Creditors and Facilities Management and Financial Manager.

Duties:

• Review of expense capturing reports from creditor clerks and capturing of expenses when required
• Utility bill schedule and reconciliation
• Dealing with City of Cape Town with regards to any council accounts/queries
• Creditors reconciliation review
• Review of receipting schedule
• Review of bank reconciliations
• Supplier age analysis review
• Accruals preparation for review
• Review of inter-company loan accounts
• Assist with queries during audit
• Expense vs recoveries analysis
• Updating and maintaining of the B-BBEE procurement schedule
• Liaise with operations, procurement and suppliers
• Other duties as reasonably required by management
