Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Credit Risk Manager in Centurion to oversee and enhance the bank's credit risk framework. You will lead a team of risk professionals, develop policies, and ensure regulatory compliance while protecting asset quality.

The role involves monitoring loan portfolios, conducting stress tests, mentoring staff, and reporting to senior management and the board. A Master's in a quantitative field and 7+ years' experience are required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in credit risk management within the financial services industry, preferably banking.
• Strong knowledge of credit risk modeling, portfolio management techniques, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., Basel Accords).
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Proficiency in risk management software and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain robust credit risk policies, procedures, and models.
• Monitor and analyze the credit quality of the loan portfolio, identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
• Conduct regular stress testing and scenario analysis to assess the impact of adverse economic conditions on the portfolio.
• Manage and mentor the credit risk team, providing guidance on risk assessment and portfolio management.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies related to credit risk.
• Report on credit risk exposures and portfolio performance to senior management and the board of directors.
