Job summary

Network Recruitment is seeking a proactive Senior Credit Controller to take ownership of the debtors book within a professional legal services environment in Sandton. You will drive collections, manage complex debtor accounts and resolve billing disputes in close collaboration with fee earners, heads of departments and clients.

Responsibilities include reconciliations, debtor ageing analyses and monthly reports to support cash flow, while maintaining strong internal controls and timely billing.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in Finance, Accounting, Credit Management or related field.
• Experience in a legal firm or professional services environment would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Debtors Management and Collections: Take ownership of the debtors book across multiple legal departments, ensuring timely follow-ups and effective collection of outstanding invoices.
• Stakeholder and Client Engagement: Work closely with fee earners, department heads, directors and the Finance Manager to improve collection outcomes.
• Reconciliations and Financial Reporting: Perform debtor account reconciliations and prepare weekly debtor ageing analyses and monthly movement reports.
• Credit Control Procedures and Financial Controls: Maintain and improve credit control policies, ensure authorisation for credit notes and write-offs.
