Job summary

Midvaal Recruitment, on behalf of a well-established company in City Deep, Johannesburg, is seeking a Senior Credit Controller with a solid track record in debt collection and credit control. The role focuses on managing a high-value debtors' book, timely collections, and accurate account management.

The ideal candidate has Matric, a Credit Control Certificate or Diploma, 5–10 years' experience, SAP Business One exposure, and CGIC familiarity.

Qualifications

• Matric – non-negotiable.
• Credit Control Certificate / Diploma.
• 5–10 years' experience as a Credit Controller.
• Experience managing a high-value debtor's book.
• Strong understanding and practical experience in Credit Control.
• Experience with ERP systems; SAP Business One advantageous.
• CGIC experience beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Manage debtors' accounts and recover outstanding amounts.
• Keep debtor records updated and issue monthly statements.
• Follow up on overdue accounts and liaise with collection agencies where required.
• Capture payments accurately and reconcile debtor accounts.
• Provide monthly reporting on overdue debt and expected payments.
• Participate actively in monthly debtors' meetings.
• Assist with year-end audits.
• Maintain strong service levels with internal and external customers.
• Work in accordance with company processes, deadlines and ethical standards.

Position Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a high-value debtors' book, ensuring effective credit control, accurate account management and timely collection of outstanding payments. The role requires a figure-oriented, organised and results-driven individual with strong credit control experience.

Key Responsibilities

Performance Incentive

The position includes a potential monthly performance incentive of up to R5,000, based on achievement of defined targets including:
