Placements24 is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the development of flagship commercial properties in Benoni, Gauteng. You will oversee all stages from site acquisition to lease-up, coordinating with architects, engineers, contractors, leasing agents and financiers to deliver on time and within budget.

You will analyze market opportunities, manage project risks, and maximize profitability while ensuring compliance with local regulations and sustainability goals.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in commercial real estate development project management.
• Proven track record of delivering complex commercial development projects.
• In‑depth knowledge of real estate markets, development finance, and construction processes.
• Strong understanding of legal aspects of real estate development, contracts, and negotiations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and financial modeling tools.
• Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business Administration, Construction Management, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Manage the entire lifecycle of commercial real estate development projects, including office buildings, retail spaces, and mixed-use properties.
• Conduct feasibility studies, market research, and site analysis for potential development opportunities.
• Oversee the design process, ensuring projects meet market demands and design excellence.
• Manage project budgets, including securing financing, controlling costs, and maximizing returns.
• Select and manage general contractors, architects, engineers, and other consultants.
• Ensure all projects comply with local zoning ordinances, building codes, and environmental regulations.
• Monitor construction progress, quality, and safety standards on-site.
• Coordinate with leasing and sales teams to achieve project occupancy and sales targets.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including investors, tenants, and local authorities.
• Prepare comprehensive project reports and financial analyses for senior management.
