Job summary

S-RM is recruiting an experienced Corporate Intelligence Case Manager for Sub-Saharan Africa, based in Cape Town. You will lead complex due diligence engagements, assess information from diverse sources, and build strong client relationships, with regional sourcing and mentorship responsibilities.

The role is based in Cape Town with a hybrid arrangement requiring two days in office weekly and eligibility to work in South Africa from start.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Corporate Intelligence/Strategic Intelligence or adjacent industries.
• Experience leading on complex engagements, including due diligence assignments and market entry analyses.
• Deep understanding of political, economic, commercial, and legal dynamics across Sub-Saharan Africa.
• Excellent open source research skills and comfort with regional human source enquiries.
• Proven ability to plan, staff and manage projects within budget and timelines; accountable for team and client deliverables.
• Strong client communication and relationship-building experience.
• Experience mentoring and managing junior colleagues; upholding quality standards.
• Proficiency in French, Portuguese, or other regional languages is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage a broad range of complex due diligence engagements from scoping to delivery.
• Analyse information from diverse sources to produce accurate findings.
• Conduct human source enquiries across Sub-Saharan Africa; expand the regional network.
• Present findings to senior stakeholders via verbal briefings and presentations.
• Identify opportunities for additional project work and grow client relationships.
• Develop S-RM's research capabilities and professional network across SSA.
• Mentor and support analysts to promote high investigative standards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of investigative best practices.
