The successful candidate will draft and negotiate sophisticated contracts, oversee disputes, and support M&A activities while leading a team of junior lawyers and coordinating with external counsel in a fast-paced legal environment.

Qualifications

• Admitted Attorney with at least 8 years post-qualification experience.
• Proven track record in corporate law, commercial litigation and contract negotiation.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Strong understanding of South African corporate law and regulatory frameworks.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in legal research databases and standard office software.
• Experience in Soweto legal landscape is advantageous.
