Job summary

Elchemie operates a critical control room at a West Rand mine site in Gauteng. The role leads daily security operations, supervising room staff and maintaining high readiness of surveillance systems such as HikCentral and Cathexis.

You will analyse threats, coordinate with Mine Management, and implement robust control room policies. The ideal candidate will have PSIRA Grade A, 10+ years in CCTV/control room security, strong leadership, and a proven track record in mining or high-risk

Qualifications

• PSIRA Registration (Grade A) mandatory.
• Minimum 10 years CCTV / Control Room Security Industry Experience.
• Excellent and proven Control Room Security management experience mandatory.
• Valid South African driver's license and own reliable vehicle.
• Must reside in the West Rand area or be willing to relocate at own cost.
• South African citizenship mandatory.
• Clear criminal record (verification required).
• Proven experience in a control room environment, preferably within mining or high-risk security.
• Strong knowledge of security systems, including HikCentral and Cathexis.
• Exceptional leadership, decision-making and team management skills.
• Strong presentation, reporting and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
• Ability to professionally represent the company in discussions with Mine Management and external stakeholders.
• Technical understanding of surveillance equipment, alarms and access control technologies.
• Capacity to perform under pressure and make critical security decisions in real time.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of the control room, ensuring optimal performance and security monitoring.

• Ensure all security equipment is operational, maintained and regularly tested.
• Provide strong operational leadership and ensure the control room maintains a professional, disciplined and compliant environment.

What youll be doing

• The successful candidate have their own reliable vehicle and valid South African drivers license
• PSIRA Grade A registration, valid license, own vehicle and South African citizenship are non-negotiable
• The successful candidate must have a clear criminal record
• Appointment will be subject to successfully passing the required mine-site medical assessment and polygraph examination
