Job summary

Construct Executive Search is seeking a Senior Civil/Construction Manager in South Africa who will oversee infrastructure projects, ensure contract compliance, and manage timeous EOT submissions. The ideal candidate has extensive experience with GCC contracts and robust engineering oversight across large-scale builds.

Applicants should be professionally registered with SACPCMP or ECSA, have 10+ years in the civil construction industry, and demonstrated contract administration skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or diploma in civil engineering disciplines as listed.
• Professional registration with SACPCMP or ECSA is required.
• At least 10 years' experience in civil engineering construction.
• Proven contract administration and GCC knowledge.
• Experience managing EOT submissions and contractual claims.

Job description

• Must hold a Bachelor of Science Degree, Bachelor of Technology Degree, or National Diploma in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or Construction Management.
• Must be professionally registered with SACPCMP as a Professional Construction Manager or Professional Construction Project Manager.
• OR
• Must be professionally registered with ECSA as a Professional Engineer, Professional Engineering Technologist, or Professional Engineering Technician.
• Must have at least 10 years of experience within the civil engineering construction industry.
• Must have demonstrable experience managing contracts on infrastructure projects.
• Must possess a comprehensive working knowledge of the GCC Conditions of Contract.
• Must have proven expertise in contract administration.
• Must have solid experience managing contractual claims.
• Must have proven experience preparing, assessing, and managing Extension of Time (EOT) submissions.
• Must be proficient in CCS Candy and/or BuildSmart software.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Project and/or Primavera P6.
