Placements24 is seeking a skilled Contract Lawyer for a fixed-term engagement in Vereeniging. The role offers a hybrid work model with close collaboration with the in-house legal team to review contracts, provide strategic guidance, and ensure legal compliance for project-specific matters.

The ideal candidate is admitted as an attorney with 5+ years of post-qualification experience, expert in contract/commercial law and governance, and capable of handling independent caseloads with strong

Qualifications

Admitted attorney with at least 5 years of post-qualification experience.
Proven expertise in contract law, commercial law, and corporate governance.
Experience in a hybrid or remote legal role.
Strong negotiation and drafting skills with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and manage caseload effectively.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial contracts and agreements.
Provide legal advice on project-related issues, risk assessment, and mitigation strategies.
Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
Collaborate with internal departments to understand legal requirements and provide timely solutions.
Manage legal documentation and maintain organized records for all assigned matters.
Assist in dispute resolution and claims management as needed.
