Job summary

Fruitways is seeking a technically oriented Construction Site Manager for an 8-month project in the Grabouw area, reporting to the General Manager: Engineering. You will coordinate construction of a refrigerated storage facility and cooling tunnels, working with project teams, consultants and contractors.

Requirements include 10+ years of civil/structural construction experience, ability to interpret drawings, and a solid planning mindset.

Qualifications

• Construction management experience is essential.
• Ability to interpret drawings and diagrams.
• Experience with construction of cold storage is advantageous.
• Organising and planning skills required.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Supervising and overseeing the direction of the project, ensuring client specifications are met and reviewing progress.
• Keep the project team updated on progress daily.
• Ensure adherence to Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
