Job summary

Fruitways in South Africa seeks a proactive and well-organised individual to manage cold store operations at the Villiersdorp facility, reporting to the General Manager. You will oversee receiving, storage and dispatch, ensure adherence to RA/CA protocols, and lead the cold store team.

The role requires 5–8 years in cold store or refrigeration, Grade 12/NQF4, and a valid driver's licence with own transport.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / NQF4 required; refrigeration certificate preferred.
• 5–8 years in cold store operations or refrigeration.
• Understanding of CA management within pome industry.
• Driver's licence and own transport.
• Strong judgement and decision-making ability.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage cold store operations with inventory control.
• Ensure storage per RA and CA protocols.
• Oversee maintenance for refrigeration equipment and facilities.
• Monitor performance and escalate issues to QA/Engineering.
• Lead and develop the cold store team.
• Uphold personnel and food safety (OHS & BRC) procedures.
