Placements24 seeks a highly experienced Senior Construction Site Manager to oversee a major infrastructure project in Centurion, Gauteng. The role blends on-site supervision with remote planning and administration for flexibility while maintaining essential on-site presence.

You will lead site teams, coordinate trades, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, manage schedules and budgets, and communicate with clients and engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent construction management experience.
• 8+ years progressive site management experience on large projects.
• Experience managing large-scale commercial/industrial sites.
• Knowledge of SA building codes and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise all on-site construction activities safely.
• Develop and manage site work plans and schedules.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Construction Site Manager to oversee a major infrastructure project in Centurion, Gauteng . As a hybrid role, you will split your time between on-site supervision and remote administrative and planning tasks, allowing for flexibility while maintaining essential on-the-ground presence. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations, coordinating trades, and ensuring that project milestones are met within the defined timelines and budget. Key Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise all on-site construction activities, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and to specified quality standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field; extensive experience can be substituted for a degree.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in construction site management, with a strong track record of successfully completed projects.
• Proven experience managing large-scale commercial or industrial construction sites.
• In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, building codes, and safety regulations in South Africa .
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage diverse teams.
• Proficiency in project management software and common office applications.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in both a demanding on-site environment and a remote administrative setting.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to the site regularly.
• A commitment to promoting a strong safety culture on the construction site.
