Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Senior Project Manager in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal, to lead large-scale construction projects from inception through closeout. You will drive planning, mitigate risks, manage budgets, and coordinate cross-functional teams while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The role demands 8+ years of progressive PM experience (5+ in construction/infrastructure) and strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Master’s degree or PMP certification is highly advantageous.
• Minimum 8 years progressive project management experience, with at least 5 years in construction/infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of construction and infrastructure projects, ensuring scope, budget and timeline adherence.
• Develop detailed project plans including scope, resources, scheduling and risk assessment.
• Lead multi-disciplinary project teams and maintain high-performance work environment.
• Manage stakeholder relationships with clients, contractors, regulators and internal teams.
