Placements24 is seeking an experienced Commercial Appliance Installation Specialist for on-site work in Centurion, Gauteng. You will install, connect, and commission high-value kitchen and laundry equipment for restaurants, hotels, and hospitals, ensuring compliance with safety standards.

The role requires solid plumbing, electrical, and gas fitting skills, ability to read schematics, and independent work ethic. A valid driver's license and willingness to travel are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years installing commercial kitchen or laundry appliances.
• Ability to read technical manuals, installation guides and site plans.
• Proficiency in plumbing, electrical and gas fitting.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations for installation work.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel in Centurion region.

Responsibilities

• Install, connect, and commission a variety of commercial appliances, including ovens, ranges, fryers, dishwashers, refrigerators, freezers, and laundry machines.
• Ensure all installations comply with relevant building codes, electrical standards, gas safety regulations, and manufacturer specifications.
• Perform necessary plumbing, electrical wiring, and gas line hookups according to detailed schematics and site requirements.
• Conduct pre-installation site surveys to identify any potential challenges or necessary modifications.
• Test and verify the correct operation of all installed appliances post-installation.
• Provide basic operational guidance and handover to client staff upon completion of installation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any installation-related issues or appliance malfunctions that arise during the setup process.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times, ensuring minimal disruption to the client's premises.
• Accurately complete all job-related paperwork, including installation checklists and service reports.
• Manage inventory of installation tools and materials, reporting any shortages or needs for replenishment.
