Formación

• Minimum of 3 years of experience installing commercial kitchen equipment or similar mechanical/electrical installations.
• Strong understanding of plumbing and electrical systems for catering equipment.
• Ability to read technical specifications and diagrams.
• Willingness to travel within Gauteng; gas connections experience is an advantage.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.

About the Role Our client, a leading supplier of commercial kitchen solutions, is seeking a skilled Commercial Kitchen Equipment Installer to join their growing team based in Vereeniging . This role is essential for ensuring the correct and safe installation of a wide range of catering equipment, including ovens, fryers, griddles, dishwashers, and refrigeration units for restaurants, hotels, and other food service establishments. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, experience with plumbing and electrical connections, and a keen eye for detail. You will be working directly with clients to ensure their kitchen operations are set up efficiently and meet all regulatory standards. This is a dynamic role requiring travel within the Gauteng region and a commitment to delivering high-quality installations.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, connect, and commission commercial kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, fryers, dishwashers, and refrigeration units.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, and schematics for installation purposes.
• Ensure all installations comply with health, safety, and food hygiene regulations.
• Perform necessary plumbing and electrical connections for equipment setup.
• Test installed equipment to confirm proper operation and performance.
• Provide basic training to clients on the operation and maintenance of new equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any installation-related issues promptly.
• Maintain a clean and organized worksite throughout the installation process.
• Manage inventory of parts and materials on the service vehicle.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in installing commercial kitchen equipment or similar mechanical/electrical installations.
• Strong understanding of plumbing and electrical systems relevant to commercial catering equipment.

• Experience with gas connections is a significant advantage.
