Placements24 is seeking a Senior Cloud Solutions Architect to join a remote-first team driving digital transformation. You will design scalable, secure cloud architectures across AWS, Azure, and GCP, and mentor engineers in best practices.

You will define cloud strategy, produce architectural blueprints, assess legacy systems for migration, and ensure high availability with robust security. This role offers flexible hours and a collaborative, global environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 8 years IT experience with at least 5 years in cloud architecture and design.
• Extensive experience with AWS, Azure, and GCP core services.
• Proficiency in Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Strong microservices, containerization, and serverless understanding.
• Excellent networking, security, and data-management knowledge in cloud.
• Ability to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement comprehensive cloud solutions across multiple cloud platforms, with a strong emphasis on AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, operations, and product management, to define cloud strategy and roadmap.
• Develop and maintain architectural blueprints, technical documentation, and best practices for cloud environments.
• Conduct technical assessments of existing applications and infrastructure to identify opportunities for optimization and migration to the cloud.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams, ensuring adherence to architectural standards and security policies.
• Evaluate and recommend new cloud services and technologies to enhance performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud-related issues, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery capabilities.
• Champion cloud best practices and provide training and mentorship to junior team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years in cloud architecture and design.
• Extensive experience with major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP), including their core services (compute, storage, networking, databases).
• Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and serverless computing.
• Excellent knowledge of networking concepts, security best practices, and data management in cloud environments.
• Proven ability to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in a remote or hybrid work environment is highly preferred.
