About the Role

Our client, a rapidly expanding enterprise technology firm, is seeking an accomplished Senior Cloud Solutions Architect specializing in Amazon Web Services (AWS) to join their dynamic team in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal . This role is critical in designing, implementing, and managing robust, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructures. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud computing principles, extensive experience with AWS services, and a proven ability to architect complex solutions that meet business objectives. You will be a trusted advisor to clients and internal teams, providing technical leadership and strategic guidance on cloud adoption and optimization. Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect highly available, scalable, and secure cloud solutions on AWS for various business needs.
• Lead the migration of on-premises workloads to AWS, ensuring minimal disruption and optimal performance.
• Develop and implement cloud governance, security policies, and cost management strategies.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to development and operations teams.
• Evaluate and recommend new AWS services and technologies to enhance existing solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT infrastructure, with at least 4 years focused on cloud architecture, specifically AWS.
• Proven experience designing and implementing large-scale AWS solutions (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, Lambda, CloudFormation).
• Strong understanding of networking, security, and compliance in a cloud environment.
• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure as code (IaC) is highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional are strongly preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, collaborating both remotely and on-site in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal .
• Experience with hybrid cloud strategies and multi-cloud environments is a plus.
