Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Cloud Security Engineer to join their client’s team in a fully remote capacity. Design, implement, and maintain security across cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP), ensuring confidentiality, integrity, and availability of assets.

You will lead security testing, IAM, encryption, and security automation, collaborating with DevOps to embed security in CI/CD and IaC, with opportunities for growth in a global remote culture.

Qualifications

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage comprehensive security solutions for cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Develop and enforce cloud security policies, standards, and best practices.
• Deploy and manage cloud-native security services, including firewalls, WAFs, IDS/IPS, IAM, and encryption.
• Conduct regular security assessments and penetration tests of cloud infrastructure and applications.
• Lead incident response efforts for cloud-based security events, including investigation and remediation.
• Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to embed security into the CI/CD pipeline and infrastructure as code (IaC).

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field; Master's preferred.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in information security, with a significant focus on cloud security engineering.
• Deep expertise in securing major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their respective security services.
• Proven experience with security automation, scripting (Python, Bash), and infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Strong understanding of network security, identity and access management (IAM), container security, and data protection in the cloud.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and lead initiatives in a remote setting.
