Job summary

ATS Client in South Africa seeks a Senior DevOps Engineer to design and operate secure, scalable cloud platforms. You will automate infrastructure, build CI/CD pipelines, and help deliver highly available systems across environments with strong focus on automation and reliability.

You will contribute to DevSecOps practices, manage infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), containers (Docker/Kubernetes), and monitoring (Prometheus/Grafana).

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, or Systems Engineering
• Strong experience with AWS (Azure or GCP exposure is beneficial)
• Solid Linux administration experience in production environments

Responsibilities

• Build, operate, and improve cloud infrastructure across production, staging, and development environments
• Implement and maintain infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines, and automation for reliability and speed
• Monitor, secure, and optimise cloud platforms for performance, availability, and recoverability
• Improve monitoring, alerting, observability, and participate in incident response and post-incident reviews
• Support redundancy, failover, backup, and disaster recovery aligned with RTOs and RPOs
• Collaborate with security team applying DevSecOps practices including vulnerability management and secure configuration
