Job summary

ATS Client in Johannesburg is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our R&D team and scale the Compliance-as-a-Service platform with world-class cloud infrastructure. You will design and implement scalable cloud architecture for SaaS workloads, leverage AWS (EKS, EC2, S3), Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate across a fast-moving startup to ensure reliability and strong observability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of DevOps experience in a SaaS environment.
• Strong AWS hands-on experience with EKS, EC2, SQS, SNS, RDS, S3, VPC, IAM.
• Kubernetes & Docker management at scale.
• CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions; ArgoCD beneficial.
• Infrastructure‑as‑Code with Terraform.
• Shell scripting and Python proficiency.
• Ability to design scalable, reliable cloud architecture for SaaS.
• Excellent communication and collaboration in a startup setting.
• Observability with Prometheus, Grafana or OpenTelemetry.
