Job summary

Parexel in South Africa is seeking a Senior Clinical Data Manager to lead data management activities across Phase 1–4 studies and to ensure data quality and integrity. The role involves oversight of CROs, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and mentorship of data management staff.

You will coordinate eCRF design, data listings, and edit checks, plus oversee EDC system testing and regulatory-compliant documentation, in a permanent, full-time capacity.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in a scientific or healthcare field; 7+ years in data management in pharma/biotech or FDA-regulated environments.
• Experience leading Phase 1–4 studies; knowledge of ICH-GCP, CDISC, FDA guidance, and 21 CFR Part 11.
• Strong project management, organization, communication, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead data management activities for Phase 1–4 studies with minimal guidance.
• Oversee data management for CROs and external vendors and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
• Develop eCRFs, edit checks, listings, and data management plans; ensure data quality and integrity.
• Coordinate EDC system design, testing, deployments, and issue resolution; maintain documentation.
